Willie's Story
I left Grenada, Mississippi in 1967, served a tour of duty in the Vietnam war, and completed my time in the army at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. I married a beautiful woman in 1971, and we became the proud parents of two children; a boy and a girl. I went back to school, while working, and later obtained a masters degree, which in turn gave me the opportunity to teach for 14 years.

I am now retired and I spend an enormous amount of time reading and writing. I also spend time perfecting the soil in my vegetable and flower gardens, while working to improve the landscape of my back yard.
Finally, this may come as a surprise to many of you, but cooking is a serious past time for me, especially grilling in the yard. I look forward to hearing from my classmates, and if you are going to be visiting Chicago in the near future please look me up.
